Jenny Hahn Donner is a SHS graduate of the class of 1978. While at Sterling High School, she was a standout member of the girls tennis team. She was a member of the team all four years of her high school career playing exceptionally well for Sterling High School. During Jenny's junior year, the team compiled an outstanding dual meet record of 9-0-1. The team also brought home the NCIC and district championship and sent several girls to state, including Jenny. Jenny ended her season amazingly well, placing in the top eight at state. Selected to be captain of the team her senior year, Jenny qualified for the state competition for the second consecutive year placing in the top eight again. The team did amazingly well taking home first place at the Dixon Invite, East Moline Invite, and the District Meet. They also succeeded in achieving second place at the NCIC and Rock Island Invite. In addition to Jenny's outstanding performance, she was awarded All-Conference honors and selected as th Most Valuble Player all four years she was on the team. After graduating from SHS, she continued her education at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where she received her Bachelor's Degree in 1982. Jenny has since married Scott Donner and they have three daughters and one son. Their family resides in Durham, N.C., where Jenny works at her husband's dental practice as the office manager. She is also a member of the Patient Support Board of Duke University and is very involved in her children's school district. Jenny still enjoys playing tennis in addition to swimming and volunteering at the hospital.
