Placed 6th at the IHSA state track and field meet

Placed second overall at the district meet

The 1939 track team was the NCIC Champions and placed sixth at the IHSA State Meet. Irvin Wolf '39 placed first at the State Meet in the quarter mile and fifth place with his half-mile relay team of Royal Breed '41, Robert Easely '40 and Lyle Hall '39. Robert Corrigan '39 also placed third at the state meet in the high hurdles. The team placed second overall at the district meet, setting records in the high hurdles and 440-yard dash.
